CBS Reality's Festive Season starts December 24th
By James W, Sunday 25th November 2018

From December 24th and running each night from 9pm, CBS Reality is giving you the greatest present ever, dedicated nights of all your CBS Reality favourites.

We start on Christmas Eve with Unexpected Evil. When a high school student is declared “Most Likely to Succeed” their families and communities have the highest hopes for their future. But sometimes even the most illustrious student’s life can take a terrible turn. Unexpected Evil tells the story of celebrated students whose lives don’t turn out the way anyone expected.

Then on Christmas Day we take a walk to one of the loneliest places on Earth in Women on Death Row. This series explores the personal lives of three women awaiting execution on Death Row, including up-close looks into the joys, sorrows and demons that put them there. Although each woman was convicted of committing society’s ultimate crime, murder, there is often another side of the story; the societal and human contradictions between the feminine, maternal and, in most cases, loving aspects of womanhood, with the horrible, rage-filled murders these women committed.

Boxing Day take a peep behind the tabloid headlines in Scandal Made Me Famous. This series recounts true-life events that became headline-making news, sharing personal accounts from victims’ family members, jurors, members of law enforcement and journalists involved with each scandal to give viewers an intimate perspective and disclose new information.

A tip to the seaside on the 27th but no time for paddling in Murder by the Sea. Despite the jollity associated with sandcastles and ice creams, breezy promenade walks and donkey rides, many British seaside towns have a dubious reputation for hosting the most remarkable crimes. Some of the most strange and terrifying murders ever recorded in British criminal history have taken place at our famous seaside resorts; the grand hotels playing host to some of the deadliest murderers imaginable, and the seafronts doubling as stalking grounds for the most wicked of serial killers.

It Takes a Killer on the 28th puts viewers inside the minds and motives of cold-blooded killers. Experts from the FBI, Scotland Yard, and leading homicide investigators review crime scene evidence, profile each killer’s behaviour, and describe the chilling forensic details of each murder scene. They explain when, why, and how each perpetrator carried out the crime. They also tell us how each homicide is solved. Sometimes you have to think like a killer to catch a killer.

We dedicate the weekend of the 29th and 30th to the compelling series Voice of a Killer. Locked in police station vaults are interviews with some of world’s most notorious murderers and serial killers. This thrilling CBS Reality Original series takes a fresh approach by bringing to life the nerve jangling real audio taken from the killer’s confessions. Using actors and lip-sync technology, the audio is bought to life and allows the audience to be taken inside the confessions of serial killers, face to face with evil.

We round off 2018 with Medical Detectives. The series examines intriguing crimes, accidents, and outbreaks of disease from around the world. Follow coroners, medical examiners, physicians, law enforcement officials, journalists and legal experts as they put together the pieces of the crime puzzle. Forensic techniques and every piece of evidence available are combined with re-enactments and profiles of the people who lived through the events.
